Passionate fans of the actress are urging that a individual who jumped a fence and seized the celebrity during yesterday's Wicked: For Good launch be arrested or deported from Singapore.

A circulating clip shows the person identified as Johnson Wen bypassing media personnel and lunging at Grande while the performers proceeded down a event pathway accompanied by onlookers.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo immediately wrested the surprised actress away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being escorted out of the event by guards.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram recently that he was "free after being arrested", though court documents showed that he was set to appear on the next day. It is not clear if he was formally accused.

Pattern of Event Invasions

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Controversial Figure", has disrupted a celebrity gathering. His Instagram feed includes videos of him interrupting other high-profile occasions, including jumping on stage at the pop singer's Sydney show in recently and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers concert in the area last winter.

"Measures must be taken enforced against him as this is clearly a legal violation," stated an Instagram follower, in a reply to a video Mr Wen shared of his behavior.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" another Instagram user questioned.

Supporters Show Disapproval Over Grande's Past Trauma

Many followers criticized Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had spoken of suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder after a terrorist explosion at the finale of her 2017 show in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and wounding many.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" said one more comment on Instagram.

Some attendees also faulted event staff at the gathering for not being adequately prepared; while others demanded digital services to ban Mr Wen's content.

Aftermath and Event Details

In footage circulating online, Grande seemed surprised when she was touched by the man. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed comforting her while Mr Wen was led out by security.

Grande has remained silent on the incident, and the remaining proceedings carried on uninterrupted.

Many of supporters had assembled in a mass of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific launch in a Singapore mall, including several who had waited for as long as many hours before it started.

The film, to be launched on 21 November, is the sequel of a dual interpretation of the popular stage show Wicked, which revolves around the unlikely bond between two very different characters.

The show itself is a derivative of the twentieth-century story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the character Glinda Glinda, was decked out in a rosé sparkling outfit at the gathering while Erivo, who plays the villainous character, wore a sleek black dress embroidered with roses.

They were accompanied by co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The previous installment, Wicked, was the most successful movie of last year in the UK, and scored 10 award recognitions, earning two for best costume and artistic direction.
