Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to publicize the upcoming boxing match.
Former two time world heavyweight champion Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami venue on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
Despite those words, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He lost to Briton Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Still, the novice continues to be one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive financial rewards.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As the two fighters engaged in the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is truly proceeding.
