Iran is prepared to restart nuclear negotiations with the United States on condition that it is treated with "dignity" and "honor", Tehran's foreign minister has declared.

The Iranian diplomat stated exclusively dialogue was effective, and disclosed recent overtures had been made by intermediaries to resume discussions with the American leadership. He claimed Iran did not have secret atomic facilities, and Tehran was not yet able to allow the global atomic watchdog to access bombed nuclear sites for protective measures.

Navigating a Challenging Course

Araghchi is navigating a difficult path since Iran wishes not to be seen to be operating from a situation of vulnerability, and he consistently maintained that Iran had emerged more powerful in military terms and mentally from the joint assault on its nuclear sites in June.

He was addressing at a strategic meeting in Tehran where he restated that Iran had "a fundamental entitlement to process nuclear material on home soil that it will perpetually retain" – the key factor of the deadlock in the earlier negotiations.

Prior Talks Abruptly Concluded

The earlier sessions of talks between the US and Iran were brought to an abrupt and hostile termination on 12 June when the Israeli government, with US support, attacked Iranian nuclear sites in a two-week conflict that concluded with the US president asserting the sites had been eliminated. Following this, EU nations employed their authority to restore international penalties, but Iran maintains they have not had a major impact.

Perfect Agreement Offered

Iran's diplomats claimed they felt they had achieved a "perfect agreement" to the uranium processing matter in prior discussions, when it was settled an Iran-based consortium with Washington's engagement could enrich uranium. Both sides would have been able to declare success since home-based processing would have persisted and the US could be assured that Iran's nuclear programme was solely for peaceful purposes.

It had not been settled in the discussions that US nuclear scientists could function within Iranian territory, but that was a natural consequence of the cooperative offer. Officials stated repeatedly they had reached agreement with the US representative Steve Witkoff only for the deal to disintegrate due to "spoilers in Washington".

Present Position

Tehran representatives declared the consortium offer was now withdrawn, but it seems very probable the proposal could be revived in various formats if negotiations restart.

The American leader recently said he had been obtaining communications that Iran wanted to restart talks, but in private Iranian officials say they are not yet obtaining clear proposals from America either explicitly or from key regional mediators, such as the Qatari government, the Egyptian leadership, the Omani authorities and the Saudi kingdom. The Iranian foreign ministry has been accused of inactivity in the aftermath of Trump's direct instinctive approach, but Iran says diplomacy is not part of a performance.

Negotiating Stance

In his address to the gathering, aimed to portray the US as a controlling nation that abuses the notion of worldwide standards, the foreign minister said the fortnight-long engagement showed the clash could not be ended by combat operations. He said the attacks started with a American requirement for an unconditional Iranian surrender and ended with an absolute demand for a ceasefire.

Iran is certain the initial Israeli attacks were executed with full US knowledge and coordination, making faith difficult to reestablish.

Dialogue Continues the Final Resolution

The foreign minister declared: "It was not Iran that had abandoned diplomacy; it was America and the western countries that had consistently tried to dictate their desires during the talks. Negotiations can still be alive and stays the ultimate solution to address conflicts, but its requirements, guidelines and tenets must be followed."

"Provided that they speak to the Iranian people with the language of dignity and respect, they will get a reply in the equivalent language."

Recovery and Rebuilding

In what is characterized by Tehran representatives as the conflict of restoration and rebuilding, Araghchi said he was confident Iran's defence capabilities "are considerably enhanced than prior to 13 or 14 June of this year. All our capabilities have been restored. We gained multiple understandings from this conflict; we have come to know our personal limitations and the weaknesses of the opponent."

He continued: "We managed to survive this war. Our enrichment knowledge, which they intended to eliminate, stays intact. The facilities and gear, if damaged, will be reconstructed; what is crucial is the will of the Iranian people and then the social solidarity that they aimed at, but failed to break. The nation of Iran have developed more powerful, more integrated, and more backing of the administration and the state in the aftermath of this invasion."
