The City of Angels experienced widespread festivities after the Los Angeles Dodgers clinched a nail-biting seven-game World Series championship. Supporters worldwide joined local residents in celebration, marking the first time in a quarter-century that a franchise has achieved consecutive championships.
Victory Parade Attracts Enormous Crowds
Local events included a procession through the city center on Monday morning, a reserved-seating event at the team's home stadium, and impromptu gatherings across the city.
Online footage depict countless of Angelenos packing city center avenues, many displaying handmade banners and Dodger flags. The team was seen riding high on a open-top bus through the masses, hoisting the championship trophy proudly.
